Tutorial Session

OBJECTIVES


Generate the meeting between managers and consultants under the light of recognized best practices in the field of Infrastructure Management.

Establish links between managers and researchers in order to coordinate management needs and applied research.

No academic lecture, more of a workshop including at least three items :

a) After US and European great Agencies like FHWA, AASHTO, TRB, TTI, ASTM, APWA and LCPC, CRR, RILEM, PIARC, OECD, what are the « standards » when considering Pavement Management and more widely Asset or Infrastructure Management?

· Pavement Management Implementation / STP1121, ASTM.
· Others (TAMU,ENPC,WB,OECD…)

b) A discussion with the participants who will expose their current practice in their own agencies or what they think should be done in that field.

c) Determine with them the best ways to reach a modern and comprehensive pavement management, establish the link between PMS and IMS and incite the participants to get involved in the discussion in the main international forums.
