Systems (INTELLCOMM 2005) is jointly sponsored by IFIP WG 6.7: Smart
Networks and WG 6.4: Internet Applications Engineering. The main
objective of INTELLCOMM 2005 is to provide an international forum which
brings academia, researchers, practitioners and service providers
together. The discussion areas will cover the latest research topics and
advanced technological solutions in the area of Intelligent
Communication Systems, ranging from Architectures for Adaptable
Networks and Services and Semantic Web and Web Service
Technologies to Applications, Information Management and Security
and Intelligent Service Application Interface and Intelligent Human
Interaction.
Scope
The conference will involve the three distinct
meetings: tutorial, technical and poster sessions. The first will cover
both theoretical and practical aspects of selected topics, the second
will present papers on the latest research results highlighting the
state of the art in all aspects of intelligent communication systems,
and the third will outline research plans and proposals. Topics include,

Submissions Types
Only original papers related to the conference topics
and not published elsewhere will be accepted. All paper submissions will
be carefully reviewed by at least three experts and returned to the
author(s) with comments to ensure the high quality of accepted papers.
The authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their
paper will be presented at the conference. At least one author of each
accepted paper must be duly registered for the conference in order for
the paper to appear in the proceedings and be scheduled in the
conference program. Full Papers
Authors are invited to submit a full paper of up to ten (10) pages
including figures, tables, references and annexes. The proceedings of
the conference will be published by Springer in the KAP IFIP series. A special issue featuring the
best papers is planned as well. Please refer to the
paper specification section for
detailed instructions on how to properly format your document.
Tutorials
Proposals for half-day technical tutorials related to INTELLCOMM
technologies
or the use of these technologies in the above fields are solicited.
Questions regarding submissions will be answered by the Tutorial Chair:
Michel Barbeau (barbeau@scs.carleton.ca)
Note that all correspondence will take place by email.
Paper Specifications
Papers must be written in English and should
follow the KAP IFIP style as described in the instruction for author's
document available in
Adobe
Acrobat (.PDF) format. Alternatively, you may use the template
file available in MS Word (.DOC)
and LaTeX format.
Your document can submitted be in either PDF (Adobe Acrobat),
PS (PostScript) or DOC (MS Word) format.
Submission Procedures
INTELLCOMM 2005 is using the COMMENCE Conference
Management System to manage the paper submission process.
In order to submit a paper, you must first create an
account on the submission website located at
http://www.larim.polymtl.ca/intellcomm/. COMMENCE will then e-mail you your password. You then need to
login to COMMENCE using the password you have received by email. Once
logged in, COMMENCE will provide you with a submission page where you
can register your paper submission and make appropriate changes to
previous submissions. If you have problems with the system, please
e-mail
intellcomm@congresbcu.com.
